Saturday 6 February 2027, 10am-Midday
A practical session aimed at helping you care for your garden roses to produce healthy plants with lots of lovely blooms.
Many people struggle with knowing when and how to prune and care for their roses, worrying about taking off too much of the plant, or perhaps not enough. Inaction often produces straggly plants with lacklustre flowering and roses bushes on their own can look old fashioned and struggle more with pests and diseases.
This workshop will guide you through the process of pruning, feeding and selecting roses, with hands-on pruning to show techniques for both shrub and climbing roses.
The workshop session will include a list of resources to further your knowledge and will finish with a light lunch.
Additionally, the price includes the offer of a return visit to the garden on Wednesday 2 June 2027 to see the roses in full bloom and admire all your hard work, with some light refreshments.
Please note, this session will involve being outdoors working on rose plants and will go ahead unless weather conditions are particularly adverse! Please dress accordingly and bring your favourite secateurs with you.
